Annie graduated from Occidental College in 2018 with a degree in geology and biology and is currently pursuing her master's of science in volcanology and geochemistry at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. Annie became involved with the Occidental College branch of Boundless Brilliance as a junior, where she discovered her passion for generating an equitable and accessible STEM education for all, but especially for BIPOC and other first-generation students like her.

At UH Mānoa, Annie is heavily involved in diversity and equity initiatives, such as directing the graduate student-led DEI group Huliāmahi. Outside of campus, Annie continues to serve as the Co-Director of the Inclusion and Diversity Coalition with the Juneau Icefield Research Program -- an earth sciences field camp that has historically served overrepresented cisgender, heterosexual, and white male earth scientists -- in order to increase access to a field work-heavy earth science education.
