Women’s History Month & I Am Brilliant Week! | March 2023

Women’s history month

We are celebrating Women’s History Month and the many contributions that women have made to the field of STEM, including those who may be known to history as “anonymous.”

The need for diversity in STEM, and to address the continued gender and racial gaps in this field, led to the founding of our organization. If you have 90 seconds, you can learn about that story HERE.

Volunteer Highlight: Harjas Dhillion

This month we are delighted to recognize the contributions of Harjas Dhillion.

Harjas received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Occidental College in 2021. During her time at Oxy, she pursued a minor in public health and participated in environmental justice research with the Urban and Environmental Policy Institute. She was also involved in organizations such as Dance Production, South Asian Student Association, Students for Equity and Advocacy in STEM, and, of course, Boundless Brilliance. For the last 1.5 years, she has been working at the Los Angeles County Tuberculosis Control Program on various projects related to program improvement and immigrant health, continuing to center justice and equity in her work. In addition, she has been a volunteer grant writer for Boundless Brilliance since January 2022, and has enjoyed giving back to her community while developing her writing skills. She plans to pursue a master’s degree in public health in the near future.
