Everything in Bloom: Updates from Boundless Brilliance | May 2023

Volunteer Highlight: Tali Kessler

Boundless Brilliance truly runs on people power and we are grateful for the many volunteers that contribute to this organization. This month we would like to highlight Tali Kessler

Tali Kessler is a senior biochemistry major and German minor at Occidental College and has been volunteering with Boundless Brilliance for the past four years in a variety of different roles. She began as a presenter for the Occidental College chapter in the fall of 2019, where she greatly enjoyed working with young students and seeing their enthusiasm for science. She then completed a summer internship with the organization in 2020, creating lesson plans and social media content, and has worked as the nonprofit blog editor since the fall of 2021. Tali ensures that all blog posts and newsletters, as well as larger projects like annual reports and white papers, meet Boundless Brilliance’s standards. Tali greatly enjoys helping others discover their academic potential and passion and is involved in immunology research as well as organic chemistry and German tutoring on campus. She plans to apply to medical school after graduation.

You can check out our recently released white paper, “The Persisting Gender & Racial Gap in the STEM Field: Understanding How We Got Here, and How Do We Close It,” which was edited by Tali.
